Sticks--Something for Barbie
Yes, Barbie has everything but something handcrafted by me! I figured it was time to make something for her will for the moment.
I chose to make a purse that in Knitting for Barbie by Nicky Epstein. It always amazes me when I sit down and create something it just turns out beautifully. So of course I made a different one in purple.
Per the knitting instructions I used the recommend yarn by DNC. and size 0 needles. Started this while I watch TV and in no time it was completed. Added a little bead and Viole it done.
Such a diva.
*Vanessa is from my own personal collection. She is Mattel's Basic Black Label Model #08*
Sticks-A little glam for Tiffanny
I know you guys are like me and I just couldn't resist buying this yarn at Michael's Craft Store. It was on sale for $3.99! Yes, you know I got three for me! This was a request my another co-worker of mine. I made her daughter the sweater you see in my very first project I posted here. Her favorite color is black so this worked out fine and for $3.99 can't beat it.
This is Red Heart yarn Sashay. It is a self ruffling yarn and so much fun to knit. It knits up very quickly and you will end up with a beautiful range of colors.
I used the pattern that was include on the inside label. I really love how the yarn has the "bling" trim. Really cute, very fashionable.

Gotta love the Bling!
Sticks---A Cardi for Karson
I love Red Heart yarn and for this project I used one skein of each red, blue and black.
Here are the color identifiers just in case you wanted the exact colors.
At first was wasn't sure if the color flow was going to work. I wasn't sure if I wanted the black on the bottom or in the middle. I like it in the middle so I went with that.
You know I had to make some mittens!

STICKS-Lion's Brand 3/4 Girl's Cardigan
A cardigan for a Princess
I saw this on Lionsbrand.com and just had to knit it. The only problem was I had to find a little girl to knit if for. Low and behold I found one. My co-worker as a little princess this would be perfect for. So it was time to set the needles in motion.
I used 2 skeins of Red Heart Shimmer, it was on sale at Micheal's and you know we love sales, right? I love the way it shimmers and it was her mother's favorite color. Here are the stats below:
It's knitted on circular needles size US 8 which makes it perfect for my commute on the train. When I say easy to knit, it is easy to knit! Once I stitched it up and blocked it, it was just perfect. Did I say it was for a princess? The princess is going to love it.
If you are looking for a easy, cute, and just fun to knit project for a special princess or princesses in your life this is would be perfect. Here the link to help get you started. Don't worry if you don't have an account you can sign up for free!

Many thanks!!
I wanted to start my first post with a thank you to all the great artisans who create beautiful handcrafted items. I really want to thank Sharon of Sharon Sews found here and Ashely located here. Not only have you inspired me get my sewing machine on the ball but return to one of my favorite passions. Sewing. Sewing for myself and for Barbie! Yes, she needs a wardrobe too! I will eventually expand that line but right now let me get in to the grove of creating.
As for the "sticks" side of this I have to give a big shout out to Ann of Yarnology's blog She sponsored a contest featuriing this great yarn by Simonetta yarn and I won. This is a luxurious yarn and it was such a treat to win one. I haven't started the free scarf yet Ann but I will I am in the middle of a little girls cardigan which I will post soon as well as a scarf I knitted to share with everyone.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
